After 10 years of break, black and green colors of PGE Turow will be again brought by Robert Skibniewski! The club from Zgorzelec rented an experienced player from the GTK Gliwice team.

Robert Skibniewski started the current season in EBL in GTK Gliwice. In the team led by coach Paweł Turkiewicz, he spent on average 20 minutes on the court floor and at that time recorded on his account 5.2 points, 4.2 assists and 2.3 rebounds. The titled Polish point guard is known for his ambitions and the desire to compete for high goals, which is what will allow him to play in PGE Turow Zgorzelec who, with a 13-10 balance, fights for a promotion to the playoff phase.

- We are very happy that in the most important part of the season, an experienced player with a high basketball IQ joins us. Robert Skibniewski really can organize the game and take advantage of the possibilities of other players with his passes. It can also spread the defense by throws and cause considerable problems to the defenders - says coach Michael Claxton about the new PGE Turow player.

For Robert Skibniewski, this will not be the first adventure with the team from the border city. The popular Skiba has already represented black and green colors in the 2007/2008 season. Although he spent only 9 minutes on the court on average, and the first violin in his position was played by Andres Rodriguez, the Pole repeatedly expressed his positive opinion about the time spent in Zgorzelec and about cooperation with coach Saso Filipovski. With PGE Turow he won one of his three silver medals. He added the other two to his achievements during the season in Slask and the Czech BK Prostejov.

Lower Silesia played the most important role in the rich career of a 34-year-old player. Skibniewski represented the Śląsk Wrocław colors for a total of 10 years! In the 2011/2012 season in team reactivated by Przemysław Koelner he was a leader under the coach of Miodrag Rajkovic. Then, for the second time, his paths crossed with Bartosz Bochno.

- I reacted very positively to the news of Robert's coming. We've known each other for a few nice years. When we met in Zgorzelec for the first time, it was nice to play and pick up. I have very good relations with Robert - admits the black and green captain. - Skiba is an experienced player who primarily plays the team. It organizes the attack well and has always understood the game system. He is a clever player who will fill up the squad nicely, help Rod Camphor play and support the team in this most important moment for us - lists the advantages of Skibniewski Bartosz Bochno.

In his rich career, Robert Skibniewski also performed in Polpak Świecie, Polpharma Starogard Gdański, with which he won the trophy of the Polish Cup, Anwil Włocławek, AZS-Koszalin, Inter Bratislava with whom he celebrated the championship of Slovakia and King Szczecin, against whom he will play on March 5th. his first game  in the team of the coach Claxton. In addition, Skiba is also a 4-time participant in the European Championships with the Polish national team.

- Robert will strength our rotation, which will be wider by adding a Polish quarterback to her. He has the skills to lead the team and I hope that it will provide leadership that we will all use in the fight for play-off - adds coach Michael Claxton.

Robert Skibniewski will join the PGE Turow team during the Monday evening practice.
